Welcome to my journey through creative writing, academic research, journalism, and digital content.
If you’re reading this blog article, then thank you! Thank you for taking time out of your day to observe my work. It means the world to me.
How This Blog Began
Falling in Love With Writing Early

I started this website as a passion project, a representation of my portfolio and my journey as a writer and an academic. When thinking of a beginning, something exact comes to mind. It’s always been something that was natural to me, and even as a child I was drawn to it. When I had to work on math homework or chemistry, I would trail off, dreaming up stories on the margins of my homework.
From murder mysteries involving fairytale characters to individuals who fall within intersectionality, I wrote away. This passion led me to pursue an honors degree in English Literature at the University of British Columbia. I wanted to learn and research more about stories, the lessons they teach us, and how they guide us through this complicated world.
Work Experience
Industries I’ve Written For

Fully invested in my studies, I found myself writing and studying often about trauma, new media, female identities, and queer identities, as well as human beings as a species. This led me to completing my thesis, “The Devil Needs Therapy: Intergenerational Trauma Through the Eyes of Serial Killers in The Devil in Me,” under Dr. Kevin McNeilly at UBC, studying intergenerational trauma. Other than my major focus, I also took several creative writing courses, from writing fiction to writing in new media.
In addition to my academic endeavors, I have experience in higher education, having worked at Northwood University and UBC, as well as in journalism, having written articles for Screen Rant and interned under Taji Ameen for VICE. I have also worked in marketing with SEO and digital content and ghostwriting. I do a lot of different things! In addition, I have written for the food industry and the automotive, medical, and trades industries.
Looking Ahead: Graduate Studies and Growth
& Life Outside Writing

I am currently writing a fiction novel and trying to pursue a graduate degree in creative writing. I want to further advance my writing skills, learning from faculty and peers, and also grow more as an academic in terms of research and education.
Other than my work, I am a proud mother of a tortoiseshell cat named Kissa (she gives kisses). Anything you’re reading here has been proofread by her.
